How We Teach Music Lessons
Lessons can stick to a formal grading but many of our students choose to learn via a more informal song based method, learning to play through the songs they love. The two methods can also be combined at the preference of the pupil. So, jam through a favourite song one week; learn a grading piece the next.
Lessons can be tailored to your specific needs through song-based learning, but if you’d like a more structured learning process we also offer the Rock School music grades and traditional grades. Rockschool Music grades are the world's first Music Graded Syllabus that focuses on the more current, contemporary rock and pop genres for your performance pieces. With this, you can develop your playing skills, playing songs that you or your child recognize rather than the sometimes more un-inspiring classical pieces, whilst still achieving an accredited qualification.
